Delete your Aure account
In force from
From the app
Open the Me tab, then ‘Delete my account’. Deletion takes two steps:
- The app shows you what is deleted at once and what is kept until the erasure. If you have a subscription running, it tells you that too. Tap ‘Continue’.
- Type ‘DELETE’ to confirm (‘SUPPRIMER’ when the app is in French). If your session is more than 15 minutes old, the app also asks for your password. Tap ‘Delete my account’.
The same screen opens from Me, ‘My consents’, then ‘Withdraw my consent’ on your faith and your religious practice, and from ‘I don't agree’, then ‘Delete my account’, on the consent screen.
You cannot undo the deletion: during the 30 days after your request, no one can sign in to your account any more.
Without the app
Write to support@nikaa.app from the e-mail address of your account, with the subject ‘Delete my account’. We check that the request comes from the e-mail address of the account; if it comes from another address, we ask you to confirm it from the address of the account. The Aure team then starts the same deletion as the app, no later than one month after your request, and confirms it to you by e-mail. This period may be extended by two months if the request is complex; we will then tell you so within the first month.
Deleted at once
Your profile is no longer shown to anyone. The interest you showed and received, your exchanges and their messages, for you and for the other member alike, and the profile visits you made and received are deleted. All your sessions are closed.
Kept 30 days at most
The rest is kept in your closed account: your hidden profile, your photos and your voice recording if there are any, the reports made by you or about you, your blocks and the proof of your consents. This period serves to finish reviewing open reports and to retry an erasure that failed. This period is under review.
Erased 30 days after your request
Your account and this data are erased, together with the files of your photos and your voice and your record at RevenueCat, the provider that manages subscriptions. Reports remain, without your identifier, as a record of moderation. The detail of what is kept, and for how long, is in the privacy policy.
Backup copies: each copy, encrypted, is kept for 30 days; your account is gone from them no later than 60 days after your request. Text under review.
If the Aure team decided to ban your account, a digest of your verified e-mail address is kept for 1 year after the erasure, to refuse a new sign-up with it. Text under review.
What the law would require us to keep for longer: text under review.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription taken in the App Store or Google Play: it is still billed until you cancel it in the settings of your Apple or Google Play account. See the terms of sale.
